The group was appointed through Regulation No. 1 of 28 February 2007 of the Council for Counteracting Drug Addiction Chairman.

The tasks of the group are the following:

1. to exchange information on issues in the implementation of the National Programme on Counteracting Drug Addiction;
2. to initiate measures and strategies for new solutions aimed at supply and demand reduction of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and substitutes;
3. to participate in developing drafts of legal acts on counteracting drug addiction;
4. to carry out analyses and prepare reports depending on the Council’s needs.
